About reCAP
Since 2022, leading the charge in sustainable waste management and creative upcycling.
Our Story
Founded in 2022 by sustainability advocate Nyima Lama, reCAP emerged from a simple yet powerful idea: waste doesn't have to be the end of the story. What started as a grassroots movement has evolved into a comprehensive ecosystem of recycling innovation, creative reapplication, and sustainable repurposing solutions.
Today, reCAP connects individuals, businesses, and communities in a shared commitment to environmental stewardship and conscious consumption. Our mission is clear: transform the way humanity manages resources.

rePurpose
Every item has potential. We connect resources with purpose, ensuring that materials find their best second life in a circular economy that benefits all stakeholders.

Hear how reCAP is making a difference
βI truly admire Nyima's thoughtful initiative of collecting old uniforms and notebooks and donating them to government schools, giving these items a second life while also helping students in need. His effort reflects the power of recycling and inspires others to reduce waste. As someone who is passionate about recycling and protecting the environment, I find this initiative both meaningful and motivating.β

βWorking with reCAP was absolutely seamless. In today's pursuit of sustainability, the biggest challenge is not in recycling but in collecting the waste and segregating the right material for the right purpose β and this is where reCAP stands out. We are proud to be partners with Nyima and his team.β

βI had the opportunity to work with Nyima's notebook recycling initiative. Collecting partially used notebooks from our community made me realize how much usable material is often thrown away. Nyima organized the project with great dedication and inspired many of us to contribute towards a meaningful cause. Knowing that these notebooks would be transformed into new stationery and distributed free to children in government schools gave the collection drive a real sense of purpose. The project not only promoted environmental sustainability but also supported the education of children who need it most. It was inspiring to see how one student's vision could bring so many people together. I am proud to have been a small part of this initiative and hope it continues to encourage others to recycle, give back, and make a positive impact.β

βI have known Nyima and followed the growth of reCAP over the past few years. What began as a thoughtful student initiative has developed into a sustained effort that brings together environmental responsibility and meaningful community service. Nyima's commitment, persistence and ability to involve the wider school community have been particularly commendable. It has been a pleasure to support reCAP and to see the positive impact it continues to make within and beyond our school community.β
